Terms of Service
Last updated: October 1, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and PawFriend for using the PawFriend app and the website pawfrnd.com. By creating an account you accept them. How we handle your data is explained in the Privacy Policy.
Who can use PawFriend
You must be at least 13, or older where your country requires it: 14 in Italy and Spain, 15 in France, 16 in Germany. You are responsible for your account, for keeping your password safe, and for what is published from it.
Your content
What you post stays yours. You give us a free, non-exclusive licence to host it and show it to other users in the way the feature you used is meant to work (a post in the feed, a review on a place, a report on the map), for as long as it stays on PawFriend. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account.
Community rules
- Report places, hazards and lost pets honestly: other owners plan their day around what you post.
- No harassment, hate speech, illegal content, or content that puts a person or an animal at risk.
- Don't impersonate other people or businesses, and don't claim a place you don't run.
- Adoption and breeding listings must follow the animal-welfare rules that apply to you. PawFriend is not a party to any arrangement between users.
- Don't try to get around limits or game the rewards (for example with fake check-ins or reviews).
Reporting content and moderation
There is zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. You can report any post, comment or user, and a place, a hazard or a lost pet, from inside the app, and block any user so you no longer see each other. We review reports within 24 hours and remove content that breaks these terms, together with the account of whoever posted it when the abuse is serious or repeated. You can also write to hello@pawfrnd.com, which is also our point of contact for authorities. If we remove your content or limit your account, we'll tell you why, and you can ask us to look at the decision again by replying to that message.
Places and map data
Place information comes from OpenStreetMap and from other users, and can be wrong or out of date. Use your own judgement, especially around traffic, water and off-leash rules.
Bones
Bones are reward points you earn by using PawFriend. They have no cash value, can't be transferred or exchanged for money, and can only be used for the discounts and items shown in the app. Earning is capped per day. We can adjust how Bones are earned and spent, and we can remove Bones obtained by breaking these terms. Unused Bones are lost when you delete your account.
Orders from partner shops
When you order a product for pickup from a partner shop, the sale is between you and that shop: the shop is responsible for the product, the price and your consumer rights. PawFriend only passes the order on and applies any Bones discount.
Purchases and subscriptions
Paid features are bought through Apple's or Google's in-app payments, under their terms. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them in your device's account settings, at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Refunds and your statutory right of withdrawal are handled by Apple or Google.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete my account. We can suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms or puts other people at risk; except in urgent cases, we'll warn you first.
Liability
We work to keep PawFriend running and accurate, but we can't guarantee it will always be available or error-free. We are not responsible for content posted by other users or for the conduct of partner shops. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, including for intent or gross negligence, or for death or personal injury, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
Changes
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app at least 30 days before the change takes effect. If you don't agree, you can delete your account before then.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer living in the EU, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country, and you can bring a claim before the courts where you live.
